What are some good questions for ME to ask at the interview?

By Anne McKinney, Prep Publishing

What are some good questions to ask the interviewer during the interview?
The employer is trying to find out if you really have an interest in that particular job or if you are just looking for "a job." Interviewers who ask questions come across as curious and motivated. You need to ask questions like, “If you had to name the three main goals you want someone to achieve in this job, what would they be?” By asking questions about the job, you seem interested in the job and the company. (Remember: the company is trying to hire someone to achieve company goals, so you need to show your interest in those goals.) And by asking questions about the job, you can find out if you really want the job. If you establish great rapport with the interviewer, don’t be afraid to ask a personal question such as, “Myra, I wonder if I could ask you how long you’ve been with this company.” You would be surprised how often people will open up to you! (Myra might tell you that she’s planning to leave the company soon. Now, that would tell you something, wouldn’t it?) By the way, never ask questions about salary until the interviewer brings up the subject. Bringing up the salary subject first makes you look greedy.
